Our Story

How it all started...

Calvary Chapel Martin County began as a Bible study.  The Lord opened up the door in 2008 for Pastor Ken to lead the Midweek Bible Study at Calvary Church Jupiter which he continued to do through 2023.  In 2019, that teaching ministry was placed on line at www.theunsafebible.com.  As the Lord continued to lead, the teaching was also made available on-line by podcasting once a week.  In mid-2022, the Lord made a way for the podcast to go daily and it is now available Monday through Friday all around the world at The UnSafe Bible Podcast.

It was in early 2023 that the Lord revealed the need to expand the teaching ministry further, by planting a church in southern Martin County.  That church is Calvary Chapel Martin County.

Expanding the vision...

The teaching ministry of Pastor Ken at the UnSafe Bible is now part of the ministry of Calvary Chapel Martin County.  As a church plant, we're new..  With the full support of Calvary Church Jupiter and Pastor Dan Plourde we are off and running.  Right now we meet in person on Sunday at the Taylor Beach House Cafe in Hobe Sound. and on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm in Auditorium B of Calvary Church Jupiter.  We also repeat our Sunday service at our online campus.

But we are praying for all of that to change by having a brick and mortar place to call home for awhile. We are actively looking for space to be able to do all of the current and future ministries that the Lord wants us to do.

Until then, you can help expand the vision by becoming part of the ministry team for  when we meet in person together and online.

Where we are headed...

Calvary Chapel Martin County is a church. We are dedicated to seeing the unsaved come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and seeing those who know Jesus, to grow and become more like Him. This is done by all of us ministering together to make disciples..

This is done by teaching and preaching the word faithfully with an eye to achieve the Great Commission in our lifetime.   Our mission is to make disciples.  We take seriously what Jesus says in Matthew 28:19 - 20.  “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” (NASB 2020)

We want Calvary Chapel Martin County to be a place where you can come to learn more about God in a casual, nonthreatening atmosphere. No judgment. No hostility. No ritual. Just real people seeking to be in relationship with God and other likeminded believers.
